Vaccinations Available at the Pharmacy
The immunization certified pharmacist at your Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin pharmacy has vaccinations to immunize against flu, pneumonia, whooping cough, shingles and more. It’s not easy to manage the complex medication regimens that are often part of cancer, diabetes, transplant or HIV care. That’s why our pharmacists offer a Medication Management Program for patients with complicated treatment plans. Enrollment is free!
Anticoagulation and Medication Therapy Clinic
Some blood-thinning medications, such as warfarin (Coumadin®), require careful monitoring. Our pharmacists at the Anticoagulation and Medication Therapy Clinic assist you by answering questions about anticoagulant medication and teaching you how to continuing living your life while on anticoagulant therapy.
"Bedside Meds" Service
Before you go home after a stay at one of our hospitals, experienced pharmacists fill your prescriptions and discuss you medications right at the bedside.
Bedside Meds is an additional check that helps ensure you understand all of your medications and know which medications you should take at home. Our pharmacists also help simplify your medication regimen. They carefully review your complete prescription list; if they notice any unnecessary or duplicate medications, they’ll talk to the your physician to see if those medications can be eliminated.
Our Bedside Meds program is an award-winning service that is unlike any other in Wisconsin and one of only a handful in the United States.
Home Infusion Services
After leaving the hospital or one of our clinics, you may require infusion therapy — therapy provided via intravenous (IV) or other non-oral routes. Home infusion is a safe and effective way to receive therapy in the comfort of your own home. Home infusion allows you to get back to your normal lifestyle and may also be a more cost-effective option.
Common therapies provided by Froedtert & MCW Home Infusion include anti-infectives (antibiotics, antivirals, antifungals); inotropes and diuretics; hydration and electrolyte supplements; biologic and immunosuppressive therapies; immunoglobulins; and parenteral nutrition.
Our team includes registered nurses and pharmacists who help coordinate care with your doctor and care team. Our staff will work closely with you to help coordinate your care and medications during treatment.

Drug Repository Program
Froedtert & MCW pharmacies are registered with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services as locations that can accept certain donated medications as part of the Drug Repository Program. This program allows listed pharmacies to collect certain medications that will be given to individuals with cancer or chronic disease who are uninsured or underinsured. Drug repository medications may be accepted by any Froedtert & MCW pharmacy. Learn more about the Drug Repository Program.
