PGY1 Residency Project

Pharmacist-Driven Sedation Medication Management

Why did you choose to pursue a residency?

I knew I wanted to be a clinical pharmacist when I started pharmacy school. I believe that residency is the best and fastest way to become a well-rounded clinical pharmacist. I wanted to experience as many clinical environments as possible before transitioning to a fully-independent practitioner.

What attracted you to the Froedtert & MCW pharmacy residency program?

I completed most of my APPE rotations at a smaller community hospital within a larger health-system. Since I had a great experience within that environment, I wanted to do a residency at a hospital that would provide a similar experience. In addition, this residency program also offers rotations that match my clinical interests.
