PGY2 Residency Project

Development/Optimization of an Approach to Medication Safety Within the Ambulatory, Retail and/or CP Setting

Why did you choose to pursue a residency?

I am pursuing a PGY2 residency to expand my knowledge base and experiences so as to confidently manage an array of topics including medication safety, drug information, medication-use policy, and formulary management. This residency will allow for me to continue my growth as a leader, advance the culture of medication safety, become confident in policy management, and integrate myself into committees to advance the pharmacy profession.

What attracted you to the Froedtert & MCW pharmacy residency program?

The Froedtert & MCW pharmacy residency program highly priorities patient safety and has a robust center for medication utilization. The culture at Froedtert Hospital is very supportive of the pharmacy profession which provides for an optimal learning environment. With the academic environment, I will learn to practice at the top of my license while further developing my skills.
