Why did you choose to pursue a residency?
I wanted to pursue a residency to further develop my problem solving and critical thinking skills as well as to become more comfortable making clinical recommendations as part of the healthcare team. Additionally, I knew that pursuing a residency would open so many doors for me in the field of pharmacy and provide me with the opportunity to specialize in a certain area.
What attracted you to the Froedtert & MCW pharmacy residency program?
The Froedtert & the MCW residency had everything that I was looking for in a program. Being that it is a huge teaching hospital, pharmacy residents are able to go on rounds in nearly every unit of the hospital and get to establish themselves quickly as a key member of the multidisciplinary team. I also loved the large amount of rotations offered and, most of all, the people. Everyone emphasizes the importance of teaching and never hesitates to answer my questions or just chat about life.
