Based in Hartford, Wis., ProAmpac employs 130 team members. They have partnered with Workforce Health since 2021 for Occupational Health services and expanded the partnership in 2024 to include Wellness presentations.

Michele Apuli, Environment, Health and Safety Manager at ProAmpac, shared the following thoughts about our wellness services:

What type of employee wellness programs and activities do you offer? / How have you partnered with Workforce Health to support employee well-being?

ProAmpac has partnered with Workforce Health to provide information on topics that our employees find interesting and helpful to support their own well-being. We have been partnered with Froedtert for over a year, holding various events. Topics have included mental health, suicide prevention and everyday cooking.

What benefits do you see to the organization and employees as a result of these efforts?

The events have helped increase employee morale. In addition, the events provide the opportunity for employees to learn about resources outside of the facility. We felt it was important to provide these events during work hours as everyone’s life outside of work is so busy. We have employees who work second jobs, are single parents and/or are attending classes outside of work. We understand how hard it can be to find the time to learn how to improve your own wellbeing.

What advice do you have for a business just starting employee wellness initiatives?

Get your employees involved in choosing the topics. The involvement on the front end pays off in employee engagement and participation in the events.
