As I sit here with the end of my first year of oral chemotherapy today (Wednesday, August 5, 2015) and my final year starting Thursday, I have to give thanks to my heroes.

Who are you?

You are the warrior who has fought this battle before me and lost.
You are the courageous pioneer willing to take a chance so others might have hope.
You are the unselfish one donating your crimson life – your blood – to share with others.
Although we have not spoken, you are my hero.
Although we have not met, you are my inspiration.
Although we are not family, we are family.

All I can say is, I thank you and I will honor each and every one of you by fighting this battle and giving back as you have done for me.

First of all, I hope that I did profile image (my photo) correctly, as I'm "technically challenged!I had an intensive "informal support group" session with my friend who's dealing with Leukemia (and other related chronic conditions) this morning.
Often those of us who have or are going through these situations are the best at helping each other.

We all agree to fight these battles together.
