Schedule and Join a Virtual Visit

In this video, we'll guide you through how to get care with a scheduled virtual visit. For your convenience, we offer virtual visits during normal clinic hours. This allows you to video chat with a doctor from home or anywhere in the state of Wisconsin. 

Let's get started. Virtual visits are a good option for many health care needs. You can schedule a virtual visit the same way you would schedule an in-person appointment — through the Froedtert & MCW mobile app, online at froedtert.com/mychart or by phone. If it's appropriate, you will be given the option to be seen virtually. Choose a video visit and continue the steps to schedule your appointment.

You can access your virtual visit from the mobile app or a web browser. 

Via the Froedtert & MCW App

For the best experience, we recommend using the Froedtert & MCW App available in the App Store and Google Play. To get started, log in or create an account. Once you're logged in, you'll see your upcoming appointment on the home screen. Within three days of your visit, tap "Pre-Check-In" and follow the prompts. Completing pre-check-in will save you time and help us get ready to care for you. 

Later, when it's time for your visit, tap "Start Visit." Allow access to your camera and microphone if prompted. This important step will make sure your visit goes smoothly. 

You're all set. A member of your care team will join on video shortly. 

Via Your Web Browser

If you prefer to access your visit online using a web browser, go to froedtert.com/mychart. Select "Log In to MyChart," then log in or create an account. 

Once you've logged in, you'll see your upcoming appointment on the home screen. Within three days of your visit, select "Pre-Check-In" and follow the prompts. 

Later, when it's time for your visit, select "Join Visit." You will be prompted to join from the Zoom Workplace app. This is recommended but not required. Select "Join from Zoom Workplace app" and follow the steps to install the Zoom Workplace app on your computer if you have not already. 

Otherwise, you can skip this step by selecting "Join From Your Browser." Allow access to your camera and microphone if prompted. Enter your name and select "Join." 

You're all set. A member of your care team will join on video shortly. 

Tips for a Successful Virtual Visit

Here are a few quick tips to help your virtual visit go smoothly. 

• Make sure you are connected to the internet.
• Check that your camera and microphone are properly connected.
• Choose a quiet and private space. If you're distracted or driving, we will reschedule your visit to ensure you get the best care possible.
