Schedule an Appointment Using MyChart

Welcome to the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin health network. In this video, we'll guide you through how to schedule an appointment using MyChart. If you have been referred to primary care or need to schedule a follow-up visit with your primary care team, we may send you a scheduling request. This will allow you to schedule the appointment conveniently through MyChart.

Here's how it works. Based on your communication preferences, you'll receive a text message, e-mail or push notification from the Froedtert & MCW health network. If you have a MyChart account, follow the instructions to sign in. If you don't have a MyChart account, that's okay. You can answer a few questions to verify your identity now and create an account later.

Once you are signed in, you'll see an appointment scheduling message on the homepage. 

1. Select "Schedule Now." 
2. You'll be asked a series of questions specific to the type of visit you are scheduling. Follow the prompts to answer these questions. 
3. Next, you'll see all possible locations where you can schedule your appointment. Choose your preferred location or select any location. 
4. Available days and times will now appear. Pick an appointment time or use the filters to find a specific day that works best for you. 
5. Answer a few remaining questions about your insurance coverage. Your time slot is reserved for the next 10 minutes. 
6. Before you're done, enter the reason for your visit. You can say something like "lab work" or "immunizations needed." 
7. If you'd like to be notified if an earlier appointment opens up, check the box to join the Wait List.
8. Verify the information on the screen is correct and schedule your appointment. 

Your appointment is now scheduled. If you don't have a MyChart account, you will be given the option to create one now. This will allow you to manage this appointment and any follow-up care needed.

And there you have it. Scheduling an appointment using MyChart is quick and easy.
