At Froedtert Hospital, volunteers help create an atmosphere of friendliness and goodwill which improves our patients’ experience. Our volunteers bring a greater personal dimension to the care and service of patients, families and visitors, and hospital staff.

Volunteers who serve on patient floors or in clinical areas assist hospital staff with patient comfort such as engaging in conversation, answering call buttons, and helping during mealtime. They may also put away supplies, fill blanket warmers and/or help with special requests.

Volunteers who serve in other areas of the hospital assist staff with patient communication, patient way finding, special projects and administrative work.

We find our volunteers are willing to do whatever is needed, regardless of where they serve.

• Guest Relations Volunteers: Serve alongside staff to welcome visitors, patients, and family members at a variety of campus entrances and provide wayfinding assistance.
• Customer Service Ambassador (Drexel Town Square Health Center, Oak Creek): Guide patients, offer warm welcomes and help stock waiting areas for seamless visits.
• Veteran Visitors: Chat with and honor veteran patients — thank them for their service with your presence.
• Musicians on Call: Perform soothing bedside tunes or guide musicians to rooms — music heals!
• Gift Shop Attendant: Bobbe's Gift Shoppe is the largest fundraising effort by volunteers for Froedtert Hospital. Volunteers staff the shop, operate the cash register, provide customer service and stock shelves.
• Froedtert Finders: Be the friendly navigator — help patients and visitors find their way with ease.
