Due to COVID-19, all volunteer services have been discontinued until further notice.
Volunteers have been serving Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital since the hospital doors opened in 1964. Today, almost 300 volunteers serve the hospital with the ultimate goal of enhancing the patient care experience. Volunteers also participate in fundraising events that give back over $100,000 to the hospital each year.
Placement in a volunteer opportunity is based on our current needs and on your availability and interest, which we determine through an in-person interview. Volunteering at the hospital is very rewarding, but is a responsibility that must be taken seriously. We want to make sure you are prepared to care for our patients and support our staff by always following confidentiality and ethical standards. Therefore, the entire onboarding process can take 4-6 weeks, and will require multiple trips to the hospital for completing the registration, training and orientation. In addition, we ask for a minimum 6-month commitment.
We are unable to support potential volunteers who are looking for court-ordered mandated service, who want to job shadow or hope that the volunteer experience will lead to a job placement. In addition, we are not accepting volunteers who only want to hold and cuddle babies.
We would love for you to join our team! If you or someone you know is interested in volunteering, please apply online or call the Volunteer Services Department at 262-257-3300 to receive an application packet.
