You have an employee who appears to be showing signs of substance abuse. You want to help the employee and keep the workplace safe. But how?
Workforce Health Reasonable Suspicion Training sets you up for success. Workforce Health has hosted Reasonable Suspicion Training for over 50 employer leaders to learn more about identifying and handling possible situations of drug and/or alcohol abuse.
The sessions are presented in partnership with Wisconsin Diagnostic Laboratories (WDL) and led by Debra Auer, CSAPA. WDL Drug Screen Process Coordinator.
Reasonable Suspicion Training gives supervisors and managers the tools they need to professionally identify and manage employees who exhibit signs of substance abuse. A certified substance abuse program administrator (CSAPA) teaches leaders about establishing a drug and alcohol program, testing procedures and understanding substance abuse. Participants also explore real-life scenarios and practical application of what they learned. Upon completion of the course, participants can confidently identify and respond to reasonable suspicion situations in the workplace.
This training aligns with the Department of Transportation (DOT) 60/60 49 CFR Part 40 requirements and can be adapted for nonmandatory employers’ needs.
Workforce Health will host another Reasonable Suspicion Training for supervisors and managers in January. Here are the details.
