Advice for Potential PGY1 Candidates
Never be afraid to ask questions when appropriate/discuss rotation expectations and your personal goals for rotations ahead of time or during orientation with your preceptors. Many preceptors do a great job at tailoring certain rotations to your specific interests and to areas you would like to focus on.
What attracted you to Froedtert Hospital’s PGY1 program?
I was a LAPPE at Froedtert last year and had great experiences on my rotations and at Froedtert in general. The preceptors I learned from during my APPE year and residency thus far have been amazing. The medical teams that I have been a part of were pharmacy friendly and accepting of pharmacy recs. These were some of the top reasons I wanted to stay on. There are so many different rotation options that are not available at other institutions. For me personally, the specialized ICUs/adult Level I Trauma Center ED are very attractive rotation options!
