    1. The graduate will provide basic patient care and comfort, anticipate patient needs, recognize and respond to patient emergency situations.

    3. The graduate will be able to perform basic Venipuncture procedures.
    4. The intern will demonstrate outcomes by successfully completing all indicated didactic courses, clinical competencies and the ARRT certification examination.

  3. Radiation Protection: (Program Goals 1, 2)

    1. The graduate will practice appropriate radiation protection.
    2. The graduate will understand basic x-ray production and interactions.

  5. Imaging Procedures: (Program Goals 1, 2, 3)

    1. The graduate will operate medical imaging equipment and accessory devices.
    2. The graduate will position the patient and medical imaging system to perform examinations and procedures.
    3. The graduate will exercise independent judgment and discretion in the technical performance of medical imaging procedures.
    4. The graduate will demonstrate knowledge of human structure, function and pathology.
    5. The intern will demonstrate outcome by successfully completing all indicated didactic courses, clinical competencies and the ARRT certification examination.

  7. Seminar in Radiography II: (Program Goals 2 and 3)

    1. The graduate will demonstrate knowledge and skills relating to quality assurance activities.
    2. The graduate will evaluate the performance of medical imaging systems.
    3. The graduate will evaluate medical images for technical quality.
    4. The intern will demonstrate outcome by successfully completing all indicated didactic courses, clinical competencies and the ARRT certification examination.

  9. Recording Media Processing: (Program Goals 2, 3)

  10. Domain: Cognitive and Psychomotor 
    1. The graduate will demonstrate knowledge and skills relating to medical image processing to include digital imaging.
    2. The intern will demonstrate outcome by successfully completing all indicated didactic courses, clinical competencies and the ARRT certification examination.

  11. Equipment Maintenance: (Program Goals 2, 3)

  12. Domain: Cognitive, Psychomotor 
    1. The graduate will understand the safe limits of equipment operation.
    2. The graduate will recognize equipment malfunctions and report them to the proper authority.
    3. The intern will demonstrate outcome by successfully completing all indicated didactic courses, clinical competencies and the ARRT certification examination.

  13. Interpersonal Communication: (Program Goals 4, 5)

    1. The graduate will demonstrate knowledge and skills relating to verbal, nonverbal, and written medical communication in patient care intervention and professional relationships.
    2. The intern will demonstrate outcome by successfully completing all indicated didactic courses including: research project, clinical competencies and the ARRT certification examination.

  15. Critical Thinking and Problem Solving (Program Goals 1, 2, 3)

    1. The graduate will demonstrate the ability to solve clinical problems and assessment skills necessary to provide the appropriate patient care.
    2. The intern will demonstrate outcome by successfully completing an independent study course (senior research project), all trauma competencies, all problem based learning activities and critical thinking assignments, and the ARRT certification examination

  17. Professional Responsibility: (Program Goal 4)

    1. The graduate will support the profession’s code of ethics and comply with the profession’s scope of practice.
    2. The intern will demonstrate outcome by successfully completing all indicated didactic courses and clinical competencies, maintaining an appropriate attendance record with minimal tardiness, successfully completing the ARRT certification examination, and completing a graduate survey.

  19. Clinical Education: (Program Goals 1, 2, 3)

    1. The graduate will competently perform a full range of radiologic procedures on children and adults in the following categories: Head/neck; Vertebral Column; Musculoskeletal; Chest; Abdomen; Gastrointestinal; Genitourinary; MRI; CT; Trauma; Portable; Surgical
    2. The intern will demonstrate outcome by successfully completing all indicated didactic courses, clinical competencies and the ARRT certification examination.
