St. Joseph's Hospital Patient Satisfaction

Randomly selected inpatients receive surveys by mail following discharge from St. Joseph's Hospital. The survey consists of 22 questions, which can be divided into nine categories. For most questions, patients reply with a response on a scale of "never," "sometimes," "usually" or "always." Our goal is to achieve "top box" scores — answers of "always" to the questions.

Communication with Nurses

Patients are asked if doctors and nurses asked if the patient had the help he needed at home after discharge. Overall Rating

Using a scale of 0 to 10 where 10 is the best hospital possible, patients are asked to rate their overall experience. The chart below shows the percentage replying with a score of 9 or 10.
