Athletic Training to Maximize Strength, Flexibility & Speed

Customized performance enhancement programs are designed to maximize the potential of the athlete by correcting strength and flexibility imbalances and deficits, while improving specific skills necessary for sports. The following skills may be some areas our performance enhancement specialists will focus on: 

Explosive Power Training

Lower Extremity

Training is designed to improve the athlete’s ability to perform quick, explosive and fast reacting movements.

Upper Extremity 

We provide exercises designed to improve strength, stabilization and power throughout the upper extremity. Emphasis is placed on sports-specific mechanics with overhead movement, rotator cuff strengthening and scapular stabilization.

Integrated Proprioception and Stabilization Training

Proprioception is the unconscious perception of movement and spatial orientation arising from stimuli within the body. Exercises are designed to enhance balance, coordination, body control and awareness. Athletes are also educated and trained in stabilization or “core” control, which is the body’s ability to stabilize a segment, optimize strength and neutralize forces.

Quickness and Agility Training

Training is designed to enhance an athlete’s ability to react and change direction quickly. Emphasis is placed on footwork, acceleration, deceleration and multidirectional movements.

Speed Enhancement Training

Speed is enhanced by increasing stride length and frequency. The PEP program uses state-of-the-art equipment and training methods to increase speed for different sports requirements. We focus on running technique, improved efficiency, resisted running, contrast running and over-speed work.
