Why did you choose to pursue a residency?
Having been out of school for several years, I still felt I had areas that I would like to learn more about in a clinical setting. While I had solid baseline knowledge of pharmacy, I knew my exposure was limited in certain areas of pharmacy. I wanted to broaden my knowledge in other areas of pharmacy and gain confidence as a professional clinician.
What attracted you to the Froedtert & MCW pharmacy residency program?
I chose to complete my PGY-1 residency at Froedtert Hospital because I personally witnessed the accomplished and high-quality pharmacists that the program has produced, as well as the expertise our experienced pharmacists could offer as preceptors. I chose to continue my residency career in Pharmacy Informatics at Froedtert Hospital because the Pharmacy Informatics team is large, diverse in expertise, and plays an integral role in supporting our pharmacists across several health systems in caring for their patients. Also the pharmacy informatics team is on the leading edge with technology and various electronic clinical tools to provide safe and effective use of medications.

I enjoy traveling to my second home, Australia. I also enjoy attempting to replicate various craft projects I find on Pinterest! But most of my time is spent playing with my Boston Terrier puppy, Tubbs.

My husband and I enjoy catching up with friends and going out to restaurants in Wauwatosa and downtown.
