Summary

This study is being done to answer the following question: Does the use of brain scans alone instead of brain scans plus preventive brain radiation affect the lifespan of patients with small cell lung cancer? We are doing this study because we want to find out if this approach is better or worse than the usual approach. The usual approach is defined as care that most people get for small cell lung cancer.
