Dr. Michael Martella Is a wonderful doctor who really cares about his patients. I feel very fortunate to have him as my primary care physician.

I was seen as soon as I got there and was ad usual, Dr Martella is a very good Doctor and really understands if you have Mental Health issues too. The staff were great as usual too. Thanks Guys!!

My family and I have followed this doctor throughout his medical career because he is THAT GOOD at being a true physician. Having had a large family with complex health issues and my own clinical training, I am VERY comfortable with "Dr Mike's" level of compassion and care. I recently found out that I've gone 45 years unaware that I have a somewhat unique brain. My brain analyzes more information that about 98% of the population. FEW providers have been able to keep up with how quickly my mind thinks AND the standard of care I expect because of the awareness this causes. Thankfully, I've been blessed with genetics strong in agreeableness, so while I'm not a "Karen", about what I see I do become easily discouraged and overwhelmed in this fast pace world. Dr Mike has this unique combination of abilities that not only cause complete confidence in his discernment BUT somehow he's one of those people that always leave you feeling a greater sense of resolve and hope for how your physical and mental health will weather life. I can say WITHOUT A DOUBT this physican is the singular reason why myself and all of my kiddos are doing so well after experiencing things most people never dream of. As if this was not enough, he was a positive influence in my journey of healing from severe complex ptsd from decades of multifaceted abuse. Not only does he maintain the utmost level of respect and boundaries in my care but manages to pull this off while always asking the questions he needs answers to allow him full inside into a patients life. I don't know how often these are evaluated or if there will be a place to add this later. So, I want to mention that Dr Mikes clinic staff is the BEST I've ever seen him supported by. The two women I've met at the front desk not only do their job dutifully BUT whether it be over the phone or in person, they observed what a patient needs and support people in many more ways than I've seen other office staff do. For instance, today a man in the waiting room with me chatted with me and my kids. He remarked at one point "what is with this form, what are they trying to do here?" as we both sat reading the dry-erase mental health assessment. I remarked "yeah, I really don't fill those out", because I've seen a lot of corruption in the way people are exploited when disclosing their most private inner being related to mental health. Well, as firmly as I hold my position, the front desk lady kindly remarked something like "oh, that's just part of the entire care protocol.and it's only done as part of an evaluation of how well your physician is evaluating your care plan". Well gosh. She was so polite and diplomatic I actually felt safe and compelled to share on this form how a recent need for police intervention over continual harassment has so gravely effected me. While reading the form I noticed one of the questions as if people have remarked that effectively my effect is slow". Having loved and lost a veteran that developed schizophrenia I am see where the question is headed and am impressed that Froedtert is the only clinic I've ever seen to ask this most important question. It is that exact feature I've seen many people suffer from as part of a bigger problem while getting poor quality support from their doctor. Had my partner been asked this before we met he would have been years ahead in his treatment and prevented the devastating outcomes mental health can cause when not diagnosed. I pray Froedtert continues to honor people and not weaponize their openness on these forms to cause people to feel exposed or vulnerable. Maybe consider adding a brief explanation that it is part of your doctors effort the facility requires his to do so that we all feel a sense of supporting our physicians hard work.

Dr.Martella has been my family physician for years, the amount of care he provides is incomparable to others I have met. Where ever he goes as a physician my family will always follow, and that says a lot about a doctor that truly care about his patients.

I have had many providers in my life and I have never had one who listened now understood my concerns like Dr Martella. He is such an amazing patient advocate, which I find rare. Froedtert is incredibly fortunate to have him on staff and I would follow him as a patient to any other facility to keep him as a PCP.

Dr.Martella has been my family Dr for almost 10 years. So I will always follow him where he goes. He is the most understanding, kind, and caring physician with excellent professionalism that I have ever met.

This is not the first time my husband and I have followed Dr. Martella. We will continue to follow him as long as it's possible, wherever he goes. He's that good.

Dr. Martella had been my primary physician for many years. He's always kind, curtious, and always listens to his patient's input. Due to the excellent care he's provided. I chose to follow him from his previous practice in Sheboygan to his new one in Port Washington. I have zero complaints about the care he provides!
