Having trained originally in a country without all the technological advances available in the United States, I am used to learning all I can by listening and talking to my patients to best understand their concerns and how their medical problems are impacting their lives, as well as interpreting the clues from an appropriate physical exam and basic tests. I use this information as a basis for further testing as needed to get the best outcomes I can for my patients.

About
Although I was born and raised in the Chicago area, I moved to Argentina for family reasons and graduated medical school there. My initial interest was in internal medicine because it gave me the opportunity to treat patients as a whole but after working in an alcohol treatment center in Argentina I became interested in liver disease and specialized in gastroenterology. This lead to opportunities to train in Barcelona, Spain and the Mayo Clinic. I eventually returned to the United States. After establishing my credentials for practicing in the United States I choose to move to northeast Wisconsin because I felt that a smaller city had the best opportunity for a balance between work and family life. I have been affiliated with Holy Family Memorial Hospital since 2003. In my free time I enjoy cooking, learning new languages and traveling, including visiting my adult children spread among 2 continents.
