I care for people with seizures. Treatment regimens are tailored to the individual. Available modalities include medications, lifestyle change, special diets, hormonal therapy, devices, and, when safe, brain surgery. I prefer to inform, share my experiences, and help the patient decide which treatments are best for them. Ultimately they are in charge.

Dr. Anderson spent a lot of time with us and listened to what we had to say. Promised to work with us to get to the heart of the problem.

I had fun at my appointment!

This visit was scheduled by them to check my RNS system. It is quite important to me as it is part of my brain and controlling my life essentially. To be there with the primary doctor for it and him seeming casual about it was rather disheartening. There was very little communication between him and us on my condition. I felt I was not given my chance until the end of the appointment to say anything at all, and that is what 3 months had brought to me. Thank you.

I understand the neurologist is probably running around and has high demands placed upon him. This particular visit felt rushed and I did not feel entirely informed about the decisions we made, which had an overwhelming outcome (emu). I did not recieve much reassurance. I was not given the time to properly assess some of my symptoms so I provided some inaccurate details about this that caused practitioner to doubt the credibility of my elaborations. Felt rushed and a little Invalidated because of this, but still reached a needed resolution. I understand there are busy days and I still feel he is a wonderful neurologist. Absolutely trust his judgement even though I felt embarrassed

I was hoping for a little more concern. I may be concerned about nothing, but until proven I would like to be taken seriously. A test was scheduled, but the only thing I was told was that it takes 48 hours. I have since learned that during the 48 hours you are not allowed to leave home and and that a camera will follow you every where you go (except the bathroom). As glue is involved, I hope it is understood that I am allergic to glue and have a serious problem. I had to wear a heart monitor for 30 days and itched so bad that the monitoring company called to see why some of the pictures were good and some bad. I had red bumps on my chest that keep the monitor from being steady.

He listened very carefully and understood where I was coming from with how emotional upset I got. I was prescribed a new medication that gave me very bad side effects with my emotions (Keppra) and he immediately understood and was able to get me on a very expensive medication with a program that allowed me to receive it free. He was also able to do the same program for several other of my Epilepsy medications. His entire team is extremely helpful with both my diseases but also very much with my emotions and helping in dealing with everything I am going through. I refer Dr. Anderson to everyone that is any of a similar position.

Such an important wonderful treatment of my seizure history makes me extremely p.ease with seeing Dr. Anderson and when available, the RNS group also. Wish I had realized this years ago!
