About
Dr. Meghan Caballero is an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Orthopaedic Surgery and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She is board-certified in both PM&R and primary care sports medicine.
Dr. Caballero specializes in the nonoperative management of a wide variety of musculoskeletal disorders. As a competitive runner and triathlete, she has a special interest in women’s health and the female athlete. Her clinical areas of expertise include the treatment of shoulder, hip, and knee conditions. She is highly proficient in musculoskeletal ultrasound, which ensures a higher level of precision for patients undergoing injections and other minimally invasive procedures. Dr. Caballero also performs electrodiagnostic assessment of various nerve conditions using electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction studies (NCS).
Dr. Caballero enjoys providing education to medical learners (students, residents, fellows, APPs, and therapists) who rotate through her clinics. She is the current research mentor for MCW’s Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship. She has also been recognized as a MCW Outstanding Medical Student Teacher.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Caballero is proud to serve as team physician for Divine Savior Holy Angels High School, her alma mater, and is the medical director of the Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon. She enjoys spending time with her family as well as running, hiking, soccer, reading, visiting Door County, and treating herself to a local craft latte or scoop of custard.
