Mircea M. Cristescu, MD, MBA, is an assistant professor of radiology in the Division of Vascular Interventional Radiology. He comes to the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin health network after completing diagnostic radiology residency at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, followed by fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mt. Sinai in New York City.
Dr. Cristescu has been trained by world-renowned experts in the field of ablation and embolization of solid organs and tumors, including transradial prostate and uterine artery/fibroid embolization. He also treats patients with various forms of malignancy and vascular disease. He has published more than one hundred abstracts and scientific papers which have been featured in national meetings, and is an active member of the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR).
