Cancer Center Features

The Cancer Center at Drexel Town Square Health Center make it easy for you to receive treatment close to home. A part of the Froedtert & MCW Cancer Network, we offer comprehensive cancer treatment for patients with a wide range of cancer diagnoses. Treatment options include chemotherapy, hormone therapy and/or immunotherapy and targeted therapies (medical oncology), radiation therapy and consultations with cancer surgeons (surgical oncologists).

Our cancer specialists treat patients for a comprehensive range of cancer diagnoses. Our physicians also collaborate regularly with physicians in the community for treatment planning and ongoing care. Nurses, advanced practice providers and experienced cancer pharmacists are always available to make sure your treatment plan is effective, while managing any quality of life issues.

If highly specialized treatment is needed, including clinical trials, patients may receive care at the Clinical Cancer Center on the Froedtert Hospital campus, and return to their own community for on-going radiation therapy, chemotherapy and other infused treatments — or surgical and other follow-up care.

Because our physicians are part of the Froedtert & MCW Cancer Network, patients have access to an entire team of experts who can support them through the physical, emotional and economic issues that may arise with cancer and its treatment.

  • Psycho-Oncology Services. Our clinical nurse specialist helps patients and their families cope with emotions related to the diagnosis and treatment, such as anxiety, depression, frustration and anger. She offers counseling, assists with family conflicts related to the diagnosis, and can prescribe medications if needed.

  • Cancer Genetic Assessment. A specially trained, certified genetic counselor helps patients and family understand their risk of developing inherited forms of cancer.

  • Social Services. Social workers are available to help cancer patients access community and other resources and receive the support they need.

  • Nutrition Services. Oncology-certified nutrition experts assess and recommend solutions to nutrition problems, create customized eating plans, and support cancer patients in maintaining better health throughout treatment and recovery.

Patients at Drexel Town Square Health Center may take advantage of additional survivorship resources at any Froedtert & MCW cancer location. The following services vary by location. Ask your physician or nurse for more information.

Excellent, positive experience with courteous and professional caring Doctor, Nurses and office staff.
I had a very good first time visit with Dr. Peterson. She was very personable, informative and offered other options to surgery. I was happy I made the visit.
Dr K and staff are an excellent & caring team. Live Dr K.
Karen was very easy to talk to about some of the conditions I experience after a Radical Prostatectomy. She was great!!!!
Felt very comfortable with all aspects of this visit.
Dr is thorough
Dr. Giever is great. He answers all my questions and shows me data to illustrate what he shares with me.
Great team
The care and attention give me during my treatments could only be described as exceptional. I am very pleased to have chosen to have my treatment done here. I would highly recommend the team to others.
Dr. Giever was very informative and kind. I appreciated him talking me through all of the different lab tests and what they meant, and reviewing my chart/past results with me. I felt like he listened to all of my concerns. There was a lot of paperwork to fill out.
I was shocked to get an appointment so quickly. We got the information we needed. If we lived here, he would be our doctor. We are still trying to decide if treatment should be with him or who he recommended in Iowa. Froedtert was amazing
The NP and doctor were not pushy at all but helped me chose a further treatment with which I really felt comfortable. Both listened carefully and understood my current medication problems .
Excellent care from Catherine. She was courteous and kind. She had reviewed my information and had a great discussion based on my risk factors. She followed up with me regarding test results the following day over the phone. I appreciate her care!
I finally feel comfortable with my situation. Glad I came to Froedtert for a second opinion
Always do a good job.
Very professional and thoughtful.
Dr Santos-Pinheiro is always completely focused on what I'm concerned about. He pays intense attention to everything I say. He gives me confidence and hope concerning my health.
Katherine Lunde has an incredibly kind, caring bedside manner. It is apparent that she has a passion for her work. I did not feel rushed and that is most important to meshe accommodated all of my questions, took her time explaining things I didn't understand and treated me with much dignity & respect. She is exactly the type of provider that belongs in a cancer center. Some of the main front desk check-in employees at the Drexel location could use a few of the above qualities.
He was very concerned about the test and results. Made sure I understood what he was saying and about the plan of care with me.
Very good bedside manner, would highly recommend him.
Exactly like he should be
As a new doctor to me, I was very impresses with his offering me a change to a female doctor if I wished. He was just fine so I continued with him. Still, I was pleasantly surprised that he would offer me this choice.
The communication was very good and very professional
Wonderful care very empathic great listener
Dr. Giever is the absolute best!
Very thorough, we went through all images taken at the last mammogram. She also updated my family history of cancer as another sibling has been diagnosed with it.
Our experience was extremely positive from the initial welcome of the receptionist to our interactions with Dr Thomas and his staff. They made what was a very stressful situation in to a warm, welcoming, caring informative appointment. Thank you
Very pleased with the care and recommendations that were provided.
This appointment was just a follow up for the radiation treatment I had received almost exactly one year ago. So far, so good.
Very kind and concierto and caring
