Child Life Services
A child life specialist is a certified professional who uses developmental, educational and therapeutic interventions to help children cope with illness and hospitalization. Our child life specialists use their knowledge of child development to educate, prepare and support children during the adult’s hospital stay.
Grief Services
A grief services coordinator is available to visit with you, provide support and simply listen to what you are experiencing. This individual can also offer resources for dealing with specific kinds of grief or answer your questions about grief and loss. Call 414-805-2744 to speak with the grief services coordinator.
Hospital Chaplains
Hospital chaplains support people of any faith. Chaplains strive to allow the individual's own faith and spiritual beliefs to be discovered and used. Special attention is given to spiritual concerns in an effort to assist the patient in finding resolution to their concerns and be at peace.
Chaplains recognize and respect the struggle of every person, journeying with patients as they find meaning in their suffering, living, dying and their faith. Spirituality is more than prayers. It is an awareness of relationships, an appreciation of presence and purpose that includes a sense of meaning.
