About

Dr. Laith Shaman was raised in New Zealand and grew up in Southeastern Michigan. He graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit with multiple honors. He earned his medical degree from the Dr. William Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine, where he was awarded the Centennial Leadership Award for his dedication to organizing volunteer events that give back to the community. He completed a three-year surgical residency in Foot and Ankle Surgery at Jesse Brown VA Medical Center where he served as Chief Resident. He has comprehensive training in diabetic limb salvage, foot and ankle trauma, as well as elective and reconstructive foot and ankle surgery. During his residency, he presented peer-reviewed abstracts at multiple surgical and wound care conferences. He was a finalist at the International Post Graduate Research Symposium at the Midwest Podiatry Conference in 2018. He has board qualifications by both the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is excited to serve the Greater Milwaukee community in providing the highest level of foot and ankle care. In his free time, Dr. Shaman enjoys hiking, skiing, traveling to U.S. National parks, and bungee jumping.

Great care and great providers!
Dr. Shaman and his staff have been great. The emergency room and OR staff were also great
Doctor and staff were very friendly. All questions were answered and options for possible future issues provided.Had a question after visit (using MyChart), impressed with the very quick turn around time of staff answering that question.

From the x-ray tech to the nurse to the doctor... Excellent care. I had been to another podiatrist and all he wanted to do was take the tire and then surgery. Dr. Shaman have me exercises, suggested orthotics and told me that if those didn't get results, what the next steps would be.
I am SO HAPPY that I was able to see Dr. Shaman. I have been struggling with pain for several months and being treated blindly (no x-rays/ultrasound previous to my appointment with Dr. Shaman). He had me get x-rays and did an ultrasound to ensure we were treating the right problem. He has given me lots of hope for a pain free future! He explained next steps clearly and used verbiage I can understand. I could tell that he actually cared about my comfort. Thank you, Dr. Salman!
Dr. Shaman was amazing. Very thorough with his explanations. He was very professional and offered all treatment options. Make sure to tell the director of foot and ankle that Dr. Shaman deserves a raise as it's hard to find good care these days

I needed an appointment at the last minute before a trip. After requesting an appointment through Froedtert at 4:45 PM, Dr. Shaman's office called with within 10 minutes for an appointment the next day. His staff was super courteous and pleasant and Dr. Shaman was professional, courteous, and did an excellent job on my foot. Pain-free and efficient. A Five Star review for everyone. Thank you.
Dr Shaman is a great doctor, I just wish he was located at a closer clinic.
