Margaret ("Maggie") Hackl, MS, CGC, joined the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in May 2023. She is originally from the Milwaukee area and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2018. She then graduated from the Indiana University Genetic Counseling Graduate Program with a Master of Science in Medical and Molecular Genetics in 2023. As a cancer genetic counselor, Maggie performs a personalized cancer risk assessment and provides education about genetic testing for hereditary cancer conditions. She strives to maintain a supportive environment and encourages her patients to make decisions that align with their personal values, beliefs, and goals. Outside of work, Maggie enjoys puzzles, board games, hiking, and kayaking. She considers herself a foodie and loves exploring local coffee shops and eateries.
