Emergency Department Highlights

Moorland Reserve Emergency Department offers the convenience of local, hospital-level emergency care in New Berlin that is connected with the full range of experts at Community Memorial Hospital. And, we’re part of Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin’s health network, which includes Froedtert Hospital — eastern Wisconsin’s only academic medical center and adult level I Trauma Center. If hospitalization becomes necessary, a smooth transition can be made to inpatient care at Community Memorial Hospital or Froedtert Hospital.

  • All the care you need. A full staff of Medical College of Wisconsin board-certified emergency medicine physicians is ready to treat you 24/7. We also have nurses certified in advanced stroke treatment, advanced cardiac life support and trauma care, on-site pharmacists and advanced imaging experts.
  • Extended observation. Every room has an observation capacity for patients who may not need to be admitted to the hospital, but shouldn’t be sent home yet — such as patients with low-risk chest pain or those who need several hours of IV antibiotics. We make sure patients can be discharged safely or make a smooth transition to the next level of care. In some cases, this additional observation time means patients won’t need to be hospitalized.
  • On-site diagnostics. With on-site advanced imaging, lab, pharmacy and nutrition services, the Emergency Department is prepared for every emergency need — whether for adults, young children or infants.

After Your Emergency Visit

If you need follow-up care, we will connect you with specialists in primary care, cardiology, urology, OB/GYN, occupational health and work injury — all right there at Moorland Reserve Health Center.

*How Are Wait Times Calculated?

The emergency department wait times listed on our site represent the average estimated length of time over a three-hour period from registration to "assignment of provider" (a doctor, nurse practitioner or physician assistant). The wait times displayed on this site are refreshed at least every 10 minutes. Many circumstances can affect wait times — for example, patients arriving by ambulance or with life-threatening injuries or illnesses. Patients with life-threatening conditions will be seen before those with less-serious problems or ailments. These times are provided for informational purposes only and cannot be guaranteed upon arrival. They may be subject to change without notice. When NA is displayed, the wait time is not available.
