I am very pleased with the immediate response I received from Erin's nursing staff, through the My Chart "message" portal, in regards to a major concern I had related to my treatment plan. I had decided at the final hour, not to proceed with the previously agreed upon medication treatment. After much thought I felt the risk of life-altering or life-threatening side effects were too great, especially based on my previous medical history. I was given an appointment with Erin the next day, which I felt was quite acceptable and greatly appreciated ad I know she is a very busy provider! I did have concern regarding my embarrassment in canceling 1 hour prior to the procedure, and not discussing it with her prior. Therefore, I was apprehensive about how Erin would react to my decision. But, when I spoke with Erin, she was nothing but empathetic and supportive. She never once made me feel embarrassed or uncomfortable; nor regret my decision to pursue a different, less risking treatment option. She was thorough with explaining what my next option was. I was comfortable with proceeding with the amended treatment plan! I want to be clear, however, that Erin was equally thorough In explaining the pros and "cons" for the original plan that I did not go through with! At the time I canceled the procedure I was fully aware of the risk factors she has explained to me. It was that, as time went by, I became more uncomfortable with the potential risks. I thought I was okay with them...until the final hour was upon me, of course. Erin Zepezauer Is an exceptional healthcare provider! I am comfortable with her and am confident in her knowledge as well as recommendations! Also, her staff at the Orthopedic Bone Health Clinic are extremely helpful and very respectful! I would recommend both, the clinic and Erin, for healthcare needs.Of note; this is coming from a healthcare peer!
