I embrace a care philosophy that focuses on the overall health of the patient in addition to the injury at hand. Therefore, every patient receives a thorough evaluation and review of appropriate imaging/testing. I discuss treatment options with the patients and their families to determine the appropriate treatment pathway that will maximize function and limit risk. I focus on conservative treatment options including physical and occupational therapy to retrain the musculoskeletal system and improve the motion at the injury site, but also through the whole body. Keeping patients active and doing the activities they love improves every aspect of health.

Dr. Curtis is the best!
I have had nothing but positive experiences with this doctor for approx. 5 or more years. I prefer her over all my other doctors---only wish she didn't have to specialize and could treat my other issues. She's the best.
Great care
Dr Curtis is compassionate, gentle and amazing at what she does. Incredibly knowledgeable. She takes the whole person into consideration. She and the medical assistant worked very well together and I felt I was in really good hands.
Very good, competent group of medical professionals...Dr, resident and staff
Dr Curtiss is by far one of the best doctors I've ever had the pleasure to work with!
I was very pleased the staff and Dr were very professional. The only problem was waiting to get the first appointment.
I can see why Dr. Curtiss is so popular. I was seen promptly. The support staff were helpful, considerate and efficient. My visit with Dr Curtiss was to discuss options for my care. She listened to my questions, answered thoughtfully and helped to make connections to my particular situation. I felt valued and included, never feeling rushed.
Excellent as always.
I understand things were busy, but it took a while to get our appointment in.
Dr. Curtiss is so kind and caring. Talks you through every part of the procedure. Froedtert is so lucky to have her.

Thank you for the multiple options and assisting me with my decision
Today's experience from start to finish was really exceptional and aided me in a plan to improve my quality of life and mobility.
I've recommended Heather Curtiss many times
Dr. Curtiss was very thorough in going over the X-rays and MRI results and offering possible suggestions of care prior to a knee replacement. Very much appreciated to have options, but she made it clear if options didn't provide me with enough relief we could proceed to the replacement. She is kind, patient, knowledgeable, and an excellent communicator.
Dr Curtis really listened to me. She's great!!
Exceptional care and professionalism. Would recommend Dr. Curtiss to anyone!
Dr. Heather Curtiss deserves a special recognition for not only being the most knowledgeable and professional pain management specialist in my lifetime, but as the most patient, caring, helpful and attentive doctor there is. Compared to other physicians, who always rush you and barely listen, Dr. Curtiss is the embodiment of the medical profession, the way one expects all the doctors should be.
Dr Curtiss has been very understanding about my long term pain and she doesn't ever make me feel like I should give up. She cares about her patients! L
