Botox Cosmetic, Dysport and Xeomin
FORME Aesthetic and Vein staff uses Botox Cosmetic, Dysport and Xeomin — neuromodulators that change how your skin appears and reacts. These aesthetic injectable treatments can be used to reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles or unwanted expression lines, or eliminate excessive perspiration in the underarms, palms and feet.
Common concerns neuromodulators can improve, include:
- Fine lines and wrinkles between the brows (frown lines)
- Fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes (crow's feet)
- Horizontal forehead wrinkles
- Fine lines around the mouth
- Eyebrow shaping and enhancement
- Brow lifting
No anesthesia is needed, although our team may choose to numb the areas with a cold pack or anesthetic cream before injecting. The total procedure time is about 10 minutes and requires no recovery time. The procedure causes little discomfort, and you may resume normal activities immediately. You can expect to see results within a few days after treatment.
Juvederm
Juvederm® XC and Ultra XC include FDA-approved smooth gels made up of hyaluronic acid — a naturally occurring substance found in your body. By carefully injecting Juvederm underneath the skin, your appearance can be completely rejuvenated, adding volume and reducing the appearance of facial wrinkles and folds. Juvederm can be used to:
- Diminish smile lines.
- Diminish marionette lines from the mouth to the chin.
- Decrease vertical lines around the mouth.
- Enhance and restore volume of the lips.
Juvederm Vollure™ XC softens and smooths moderate to severe facial lines and wrinkles by adding volume to produce subtle and long-lasting results.
Juvederm Volbella™ XC is a lip augmentation filler for adults over the age of 21. When injected, Volbella adds subtle volume to lips and softens the appearance of vertical lip lines.
Juvederm Voluma™ XC is the first and only FDA-approved filler to instantly add volume to the cheek area in people over the age of 21. Juvederm Voluma XC gives a subtle lift, helps restore contour for up to two years and help you look up to five years younger. This filler contains a modified hyaluronic acid that is derived from a naturally occurring complex sugar. It looks and feels natural.
Sculptra
Sculptra® Aesthetic is an FDA-approved injectable that helps gradually replace lost collagen, an underlying cause of facial aging. Sculptra is most often used in middle-age adults, but many patients younger and older can see benefits from this filler. Sculptra Aesthetic is most often used to treat shallow to deep facial wrinkles, hollowness and volume loss, including smile lines, marionette lines, chin wrinkles and loss of volume due to weight loss.
It is an injectable liquid made of poly-L-lactic acid — the synthetic form of lactic acid, which your body produces naturally following exercise. When injected, Sculptra acts as a bio-activator and collagen stimulator, allowing tissue to volumize gradually. Over time, the poly-L-lactic acid dissipates as your own tissue takes its place.
Following a consultation, our aesthetic team will provide you with an individualized recommendation. Sculptra Aesthetic is a nonsurgical treatment injected as part of an office visit. You can return to normal daily activities after your appointment, though you may experience tenderness, itching and redness near the injection site.
Sculptra triggers your body to build its own collagen, so you won't see immediate results. Results can take anywhere from 4 to 6 months to appear, and you may continue to see changes for up to 9 months.
Sculptra results can last as long as 3 years once the series of treatments are completed, though individual results will vary.
Radiesse
The dermal filler, Radiesse®, is composed of calcium hydroxyapatite. It improves the skin’s natural scaffolding, and provides long-term improvement in the skin’s appearance. As we age, facial tissues will begin to lose elasticity, causing the skin to sag. The natural fatty deposits under the eyes, along the cheeks and toward the jawline may also start to disappear, causing the features to become sharp and sunken. Radiesse can:
- Eliminate dark hollows under the eyes.
- Create more prominent cheekbones.
- Fill in deep facial creases.
- Provide symmetry and shape to the jawline.
Like other dermal fillers, Radiesse is injected with a tiny needle under the skin in the treatment area. The procedure is performed during an office visit and generally lasts 20 to 30 minutes. Some patients report a slight pinch and pull during the injection, though discomfort lasts only for the first few minutes. You can return to normal activities immediately following your appointment.
You will see the benefits of Radiesse immediately. The skin will be lifted and smoothed, with improved shape and volume. In the coming weeks, as Radiesse encourages the body’s production of collagen, your skin's appearance will continue to improve. Radiesse results generally last 18 to 24 months, and sometimes longer. To maintain a youthful appearance, you can repeat treatment as the results begin to fade.
Restylane
Restylane-L® and Restylane® Lyft fillers are made of a clear injectable gel composed of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that already exists in the body. Similar to other fillers, our staff injects Restylane-L and Restylane Lyft into the skin with a tiny needle. Both fillers contain 0.3% lidocaine to reduce the discomfort associated with the injection.
Restylane-L plumps the skin to smooth wrinkles and folds such as the lines around the nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds). For some patients, it can also be used for lip enhancement. Restylane Lyft is also used to smooth wrinkles and folds around the nose and mouth, but can also be used to increase the fullness of your cheeks.
Restylane-L® and Restylane® Lyft are nonsurgical treatments injected as part of an office visit. You can return to normal daily activities after your appointment, though you may experience tenderness, itching and redness near the injection site.
The benefits of Restylane-L and Restylane Lyft generally last about 6 months. When Restylane Lyft is used to increase volume of the cheeks, results can last up to 12 months.
